The world’s two leading youth and student travel organisations – the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC) – have merged to form the World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation. The WYSETC is a dynamic, professionally managed not-for-profit organisation, comprising 500+ members, representing the global community of youth travel, student travel and international education specialists.
The Confederation’s mission is “to increase international understanding through the promotion of travel and educational opportunities for students and youth”.
With a network of 5000 locations in 118 countries, members of the Confederation provide international travel and educational experiences for more than 10 million youth and students each year.

Zahlreiche Mitglieder und (Arbeits-)Partner des BundesForum Kinder- und Jugendreisen e.V. sind darüber hinaus ebenfalls Mitglied der WYSETC. Das BundesForum selber hat gute Arbeitskontakte zur WYSETC. Es findet ein regelmäßiger unregelmäßiger informeller Austausch statt. Des weiteren nehmen VertreterInnen der jeweils anderen Organisation an Veranstaltungen teil.
